Beringharjo Market is a traditional market, located on Jl. Jend A. Yani Regions Malioboro, Yogyakarta.



Beringharjo founded by Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwana I and used as a trading place since 1758. This market is located on the north side of the palace complex. Market Name Beringharjo taken from a forest (forest Beringan), namely the forest which is the forerunner to the city of Yogyakarta. Inside the forest there Pacetokan called hamlet, which is now home to the Sultan Palace.




If you want to buy batik, Beringharjo is the best place for a complete collection of batik. From batik fabrics and ready-made garments, raw cotton to silk.
